List of Service Commision Recipients

EMEAN

Provides grants for individuals and families in Montgomery County that provide funds to avoid eviction and pay for utilities, pay for prescriptions, and provide referrals for counseling.  It also provides guidelines for churches in Montgomery County to provide assistance to those in need

CASA of Maryland

Provides funds for individuals and families in Prince Georges County for housing, food, and counseling

Priest's Discretionary Fund

Self explanatory

Samaritan Ministries

Provides assistance to individuals in the DC area to augment their skills and education with the intent of getting a full time job.  Provides counseling and mentoring.  Provides meals and funds for the Episcopal Response to AIDS

Manna Food Center

Provides food and distributes it in the DC area

Silver Spring Interfaith Housing Coalition

Provides mentoring to individuals to become independent in 2 years and purchase a home

Shepherd's Table

Soup kitchen that also provides some medical support

Furnish apartment for Samaritan Ministries

COS provides the furniture and all types of accessories to furnish an apartment

Community Ministries of Montgomery County

Provides funds that help out with rent along with federal and state subsidies

Purchase food for Community Based Shelter

COS provides meals for a week at the shelter.  Funds from COS go to purchase staples

Christian community in Jerusalem

Provides food and some shelter to people of all religions in Jerusalem

Clothes Closet, Baby Closet, Toy Closet, and food bank for individuals in Montgomery County. Program for school supplies for needy
